The winners of the tenth annual UK Tekla Awards 2015 have been revealed after a panel of judges deliberated over the finalists. Some of the winners will now be entered into the Tekla Global Awards

The panel had the tough task of deliberating on a winner in each of the seven categories of the awards, which included: BIM Project, Engineering, Engineering Analysis Design, Concrete Cast in Situ, Concrete Precast, Steel and the final award was people's choice.

The Tekla Awards focus on projects of all shapes and sizes which have used Tekla software as part of the process for designing and modelling structures, or where the use of Tekla software has aided collaboration.

Andrew Bellerby, Managing Director at Tekla comments: "Once again our model competition has yielded some fabulous projects where the use of 3D modelling software has revolutionised the design, planning and delivery. The awards are a great way for our customers to raise their company profile and we want to say a big thank you to everyone who took the time to submit an entry."

Pictured above is the winner of the Total BIM projects category, Manchester Victoria Station by Severfield UK Limited. The intention was to dramatically revamp Manchester Victoria and provide its train passengers with a stunning facility and a much brighter future overall.

Severfield and Lostock started modelling with a Revit export .ifc model from Hyder. However, it was then imported into Tekla - Severfield's chosen software for BIM and Structural Steel fabrication management.
