| CoSoSys has now released Mobile Device Management (MDM) features for OS X. Organisations incorporating Macs through BYOD or by issuing Mac computers to the employees can now secure confidential data and manage these computers on different levels. CoSoSys’ existing MDM features for iOS, now able to be combined with OS X, turn Endpoint Protector solutions into a complete Apple security management tool, states the company. Available locally with Endpoint Protector 4 or as a cloud-based solution with My Endpoint Protector, MDM functionalities for OS X combine password-based policies with remote configuration for email, VPN and Wi-Fi, reducing time spent on these tasks by the IT department. For security purposes, the Remote Lock feature and Remote Wipe of data from the computer hard-disk feature are available for OS X, which prevents data theft in case computers are lost or stolen. | |||
