PhishMe Reports 105% Year Over Year Growth for Q3 2015

Editorial Type: News     Date: 11-2015    Views: 1863

Human phishing defense provider grows by 892 Percent over three years

PhishMe has reported 105 percent year-over-year growth in Q3 2015 and a trajectory to surpass $25 million in annual recurring billings. The PhishMe platform has equipped more than 15 million active users with the power to defend their organisations against phishing attacks through conditioning, phishing threat detection and reporting capabilities. As the only anti-phishing solution that readies employees to assist in the defense of their organisations through effective behavioural conditioning, PhishMe offers a complete solution including mitigation, detection, and analysis to aid response. With the recent acquisition of Malcovery Security, LLC. and its high-fidelity phishing intelligence, PhishMe has established itself as a driving force in the phishing threat management and defense market, with almost half of the Fortune 100 on its customer roster.

"Everyone is a target in today's cyberwar climate with organizations of all sizes experiencing sophisticated phishing attacks on an on-going basis. It's unrealistic to expect IT and security teams to fight that battle alone using just technology," said Rohyt Belani, CEO and co-founder of PhishMe. "The PhishMe approach focuses on human contextual awareness and enlisting all employees in the fight against malicious actors and phishing-driven data breaches. Our rapid growth is a testament to the need for the human element as part of a comprehensive security defense."

Acquisition Demonstrates Market Commitment
In October 2015, PhishMe acquired threat intelligence firm Malcovery Security, LLC., bolstering its existing offerings to provide customers with high fidelity threat intelligence and analysis, boosting the accuracy and value of the company's intelligence and response capabilities. The addition of Malcovery's expert team expanded PhishMe's already growing staff to 200 employees worldwide.

Industry Accolades Praise PhishMe Growth and Product
PhishMe recently received several respected industry accolades, including being named on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list of Fastest Growing Private Companies as well as the Deloitte Fast 500 Fastest Growing Companies in North America for its record growth of 892 percent over the past three years. In August, PhishMe was named the top security startup on the 2015 Red List, a survey-based report published by Box Chief Trust Officer, Justin Somaini. Now in its second iteration, the report evaluates security industry startups based on their value in solving enterprises most critical problems to provide a list of the top disruptors addressing these needs.

To support rapid expansion and to meet high demand for its solutions, PhishMe bolstered its leadership with the appointment of two new C-level executives. Through acquisition, PhishMe brought in Malcovery co-founder and Chief Technologist Gary Warner as PhishMe's Chief Threat Scientist to support the CTO and his team and provide strategic direction on PhishMe products and technology. PhishMe also appointed industry veteran Jim Hansen as Chief Operating Officer. Jim, previously the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Mandiant, brings to the team over 25 years of experience in guiding successful sales, operations and executive management for information security innovators, as well as in federal law enforcement and security.

In spring of 2015, PhishMe launched its Triage product, an industry-first that automates workflow orchestration and analysis for employee-reported suspicious emails. Combined with PhishMe Reporter, Triage provides analysts and responders with real-time analytics, visibility, and insight into phishing attacks and other threats evading existing security controls.

"It's exciting to watch Triage customers stop phishing in the earliest stage of the attack," said Aaron Higbee, CTO and Co-Founder. We've taken the 'human is the weakest-link' rhetoric and turned it on its head. This is just the beginning. With every new deployment, the ecosystem gets stronger. Once deployed, the Triage impact is virtually instant, with many organisations detecting attacks in progress a few days after installation.
