Celestix Networks has recently launched its new Cloud Edge Security Appliance series to enable secure and seamless connectivity across physical, virtual and cloud based servers

The Cloud Edge Security Appliance range runs Microsoft's Cloud OS software, based on Windows Server 2012 R2, on a purpose-built rapidly deployed secure platform.

The Cloud Edge Security Appliance is the latest in a long track record of Microsoft-dedicated remote access and security appliances for the company.

"For the first time, we can deliver RRAS and DirectAccess on a single server platform" said Tim Ager of Celestix.

"Organisations of all sizes can now more easily connect remote workers with the network, but also with application content in the cloud."

The E series appliance unifies multiple remote access technologies onto a single consistent platform. It offers a wide range of connectivity capabilities for remote access, including VPN, DirectAccess, Web Application Proxy, Remote Desktop Gateway, Work Folders and Workplace Join. Mobile and enterprise clients can connect in a secure and controlled manner to any resources from corporate or personal devices. The E Series also extends secure bi-directional Site to Site VPN connectivity to multiple cloud providers, allowing organisations to seamlessly enable the hybrid cloud. When combined with the Virtual Cloud Edge Security Appliance, designed for the hosted cloud, it further extends the security and easy setup by managing and coordinating both sides of the Site to Site VPN and Virtual Networking connections. Integrated auditing and accounting for both on premise and cloud resources ensures complete management of the connectivity flow and security of the data.

"Our customers tell us that they are embracing cloud services, but they find it difficult to integrate the different elements of their physical, virtual, and cloud data centres" added Ager.

"The e-series range enables customers to address these integration points, and provide complete end to end connectivity, management and support."
