New facility for PHS

State of the art site consolidates archiving and scanning functions

Built as part of an ongoing investment programme to raise the standards of integrated data and document management solutions, the addition of the contemporary 35,000 sq ft facility and its proximity to central London will enable PHS to provide a greener, more efficient data solutions portfolio to its many city-based clients. The new site consolidates traditional records management services with both vault and media storage capabilities alongside a large scanning bureau, in-house digital mailroom, failover disaster recovery facilities and a dedicated engineers’ centre. Based on market demand and client feedback, PHS is confident that these shared outsourced data services will appeal to the growing number of companies which lack the space or budget for one or all of its data solutions.

“The new information management centre brings records management and data capture solutions together under one roof, making it both convenient and cost-effective for clients,” says Anthony Pearlgood, managing director, PHS Data Solutions. “Currently, we are seeing extremely high demand for data capture and management solutions, which has prompted us to invest strongly in more integrated physical service provision. Initial feedback from customer visits to the site has been extremely positive.”

In total, 36 staff are employed at the Leyton facility, which contains modern recreational facilities and offers a flexible working structure. The site is capable of running 24 hours a day and is protected with full CCTV coverage and electric access gates. Currently it has capacity for approximately 300,000 archive boxes, with scope for further expansion as demand grows. In addition to Leyton, PHS has a number of other strategically-located hubs across the UK, including Glasgow, Exeter and Hayes, which also serves part of the M4 corridor and West London.
