Formscan and Becker join forces to provide greater support and capabilities to both existing and new clients.

The joint expertise will enable the team, trading as Formscan, to have greater scope in solution design and deployment. The combined business will provide improved support to the Becker document and data capture solutions base, and add Formscan’s 38 year old data capture track record, along with its more recent success with Papertrail, the powerful SaaS document management & docflow application.

Chris Haden, Formscan’s Managing Director said: "This is great news for both companies as we have recognised that the joint business is a stronger entity than the sum of the two parts, we will continue to promote and develop solutions based on the ABBYY FlexiCapture platform and add value with our Papertrail solutions and high security data centre services.”

Mark Eost, one of Becker’s founding directors said: “We are pleased to be joining forces with Formscan and are looking forward to how Formscan’s high security infrastructure, and Papertrail software can benefit the Becker client base.”

Ed MacArthur, Head of Sales, ABBYY UK Ltd said: “We are always happy to see cooperation in our partner ecosystem among different companies. We are particularly pleased to see that occur between two organisations with such an established pedigree of clients. When combined, their efforts will deliver a powerful portfolio of business solutions to the marketplace.”

With a sales office in the Thames Valley, a secure scanning, document storage and microfilm facility in Manchester, and high security ISO 27001 Data Centre in Derby, Formscan is recognised as one of the most established and experienced document services companies in the UK.
