Fujitsu hits new SPC Benchmark

Editorial Type: News     Date: 09-2014    Views: 1440

As confirmed by the recently published SPC Benchmark from the Storage Performance Council, Fujitsu's latest generation of hybrid dual controller midrange systems, the ETERNUS DX600 S3 series, have again achieved best-in-class benchmark performance (IOPS), price-performance ($/IOPS), and sub-millisecond response times

The extended system lifetime of the ETERNUS DX600 S3 and reduced migration costs result from delivering a large headroom in areas where exponential data growth can be anticipated. IOPS performance directly influences the number of virtual machines that can be hosted on a storage system meaning ETERNUS DX can constantly increase VM density and so is an ideal storage consolidation platform for VMware or Hyper-V usage.

Achieving this benchmark has demonstrated that the hybrid system minimises latency by running a large number of Solid-State Drives efficiently and without creating internal bottlenecks.
