Comment

Welcome to our September e-Newsletter, which as ever covers a wide selection of DM/ECM-related topics from companies large and small. At the 'big players' end we feature a report from the recent Fujitsu Partner Conference in Abu Dhabi, which saw the world leaders in scanner sales continue their steady growth even in the difficult economic conditions we've all got used to. At the event I spoke to senior management from various parts of the PFU Fujitsu business, and was hugely impressed by their singular vision for the company.

But perhaps more impressive was the way they've managed to get their partner community on board too. This was the sixth annual event they've held (of what was originally planned to be only three) and each time they manage to strengthen the already solid bonds between vendor and channel in a way that many IT firms patently fail to do. As businesses find it harder and harder to justify IT investment, the importance of the channel - and of the business focus they can bring to the table - has never been greater.
