And here we have invited the winners to give us a quick overview of their company's activities. The Construction industry is going from strength to strength and this is reflected in the plethora of cranes gracing the London skyline. There is just as much going on underground, as well, with Crossrail just one amongst a number of over and underground stations up for refurbishmentas I am sure anyone living and working in London knows.

Does the south east have a disproportionate of investments in construction? Of course it does! There are lots of prestigious projects in the rest of the country but, being spread out a bit they lack the impact and scale of London. One of the solutions-HS2- is muted in this issue, but as we are concerned at the Hammers with celebrating the achievements of companies within the industry, we look forward to plenty more projects from the provinces being put forward for awards in November 2015.
