This collaboration has two primary objectives:
• To educate, inform and spread the word on Cyber Essentials and best practice on data security
• To help charities meet the standards for the UK Government’s Cyber Essentials certification

Give01Day and IASME will begin by hosting a series of free educational webinars for charities from February onwards. These web based sessions will educate and inform the audience on how to ensure they are compliant with and eligible for the Cyber Essentials certification. The webinars will cover:

1. Overview of Cyber Essentials
2. What are cyber controls and what should be in place - with webinars covering specific details on each control
3. How to self-assess

Each webinar will include a live question and answer session with the presenters, who will be top industry experts. The webinars will also be available on demand once recorded. The first webinar in this series starts on the 15th February with consecutive webinars held every two weeks. Each webinar will be recorded for future audiences and for review. When any UK based charity, that has an annual turnover of less than £20m per year, is certified to Cyber Essentials by IASME they automatically receive free Cyber Liability insurance. This insurance will cover them for up to £25k in the event of a cyber breach.

The webinars will signpost all charities to the Cyber Streetwise website (www.cyberstreetwise.com/cyberessentials) as a first step to learn about cyber security.

Achieving Cyber Essentials certification will help ensure charities can operate safely online and continue the fantastic work they are doing across the country."

Give01Day is able to offer a limited number of wholly subsidised certifications to a limited number of charities. After that, Give01Day and IASME have worked together to offer preferential rates.
