Bluebeam Software has announced its partnership with Design Software Solutions, a leading UK design software reseller. Bluebeam’s flagship solution, Bluebeam Revu, allows users to electronically create, annotate and edit project documents in online sessions.

Design Software Solutions strives to improve the workflow and profitability of design firms through the deployment of innovative CAD and BIM software. The solutions within the company’s portfolio reduce total cost, streamline workflows, and make it easier for teams to work together.

Bluebeam Software is known for its intuitive 2D and 3D PDF creation, annotation and editing technology. Integrated within Revu is the cloud-based collaboration solution, Bluebeam Studio, which enables teams to securely store, share and manage PDFs in real time or anytime. Revu allows teams to convert any IFC file to a 3D PDF so that all project stakeholders, even those who may not use 3D CAD software, can view, navigate, manipulate and comment on complex models.

“At Bluebeam, we strive to push the limits of project management and communication with innovative solutions,” says Aaron Courdy, Director of Channel Services at Bluebeam Software. “As Bluebeam’s global footprint expands, working with strong partners like Design Software Solutions allows our UK design and construction colleagues to join digital workflow conversations and increase productivity.”

“We are really excited about this new partnership,” says Adrian Slatter, Director of Design Software Solutions. “As BIM moves forward, the UK government’s deadline of 2016 for all public projects to be using BIM is fast approaching. Many firms working within the building design industry are already seeing the benefits of BIM workflows. However, wherever a practice is on the path to BIM, it will benefit even further with Bluebeam Revu’s innovative collaboration capabilities. With over eight years’ experience helping practices move to a more integrated and collaborative 2D/3D design process, this new initiative is a logical and exciting step forward for Design Software Solutions.”
